So a few weeks ago, a young and up coming UK based makeup brand reached out to me on Instagram and offered to send me a package of all their new releases for me to review. Until Technic Cosmetics reached out to me, I’d never heard of them but I can now see why they are quickly growing in popularity amongst the beauty community. Affordable, cruelty free with a large amount of their products also Vegan, Technic Cosmetics has an extremely large array of products complete for any beauty fanatic. Below I’ll run through a bit about the company and the products they sent me, complete with swatches.
What a beautiful package ♥
So above is the beautiful package that Technic Cosmetics sent me. Included in the package was:
Technic Pro Finish eyeshadow palette ‘Hidden Treasures’ £9.00
Technic Get Gorgeous Liquid Highlighters in ‘Pink Sparkle’ & ‘Canary Diamond’ £4.50 each
Liquid Lipsticks – The Nude Edition in ‘Chiquita Bonita’, ‘Smoking Hot’, ‘Buxon Bae’, and ‘Eye Candy’ £4.00 each (these literally do not budge!)
Technic Colour Max Face & Eyes Palette in ‘Show Stopper’ £6.00 (such a beautiful palette for on the go!)
Technic Mega Glow Highlighter £4.00 (contains the most gorgeous highlight shades suitable for all skin tones!)
Perfect Pins in ‘Fair’ & ‘Tan’ £9.00 each (literally obsessed with these! Infused with Aloe Vera & Argan Oil)
Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighters in ‘Canary Diamond’ & ‘Periwinkle’ £4.50 each
My favourite product from the selection was definitely the ‘Perfect Pins’ leg and body shimmer. Body shimmer has been a huge hit this summer with brands like Fenty Beauty and Sol De Janeiro releasing light and tan versions of body shimmer products. Technic Cosmetics offerings are up there with some of my favourite formulas. Infused with Aloe Vera and Argan Oil, the product smells beautiful, applies smooth and leaves the skin shining. Hidden Treasures swatches ♥
So the swatches above are from the Pro Finish Eyeshadow palette in ‘Hidden Treasures’, retailing at £9.00
Firstly, value for money is pretty good, 16 shades for £9.00. The pans aren’t overly large but you still get a decent amount of product for your money. The shimmer shades are all exceptionally pigmented and metallic, easy to apply and minimal fallout. The matte shades were a mixed bundle, I found the majority to be excellent, buttery and pigmented. A couple of the red / berry toned shades as well as the black were slightly more difficult to get a decent swatch. It is a known issue in the beauty community that when creating vegan eyeshadow formula, some shades, particularly red tones are more difficult to create. That being said, with a bit persistence the colours came up beautifully. It’s also worth noting that I always swatch with my fingers, not with a brush.
Colour Max Face & Eyes Palette in ‘Show Stopper’ ♥
Out of everything Technic sent me, this was another one of my favourite products. For anyone just starting out or someone looking for one palette to create a complete makeup look, the Max Colour face & eyes palette is the one for you!
Four eyeshadows (two shimmer shades and two matte shades) a matte blusher, a matte bronzer and a highlight shade all feature in the palette. The first four swatches from top to bottom are the eyeshadows in the palette. As you can see from the over all colour scheme in the palette, this palette can cater for any make up look. The bronze and blush shades are exceptionally beautiful, the blush a soft rosey pink, the bronzer, a warm chocolate brown.
Mega Glow Swatches ♥
Technic sent me a couple of different highlighter products, and out of the three, this one was by far my favourite. I’m a sucker for any gold toned illuminator; they’re the ones I reach for daily and the shades in this palette are no exception. The quality of these highlighters is exceptionally good for only £1 per pan! The palette comprises of 4 shades of gold, a icy gold duo-chrome, a champagne gold, a rose gold and a vivid yellow gold which you can see from the swatches.
More Highlighters ♥
Moving on to the other two highlighter products, they sent me two beautiful varieties of their liquid and single highlighter compacts. I was really taken aback by how similar the quality of these products was no different to other makeup brands currently dominating the market.
The two powder highlighters are both beautifully pigmented. ‘Canary Diamond’ is consistent across both formulas, representing a golden icy pearl highlighter. ‘Periwinkle’ is a more unique lavender highlighter, again finished to look blinding in any light.
Get Gorgeous Liquid Highlighters ♥
The ‘Get Gorgeous’ liquid highlighters came in two molten metal shades, ‘Pink Sparkle’ & ‘Canary Diamond’.’Canary Diamond’ is a pearlescent duo chrome liquid highlighter with golden undertones, ‘Pink Sparkle’ is a baby pink with lilac undertones. Both are so sparkly, perfect for adding a blinding glow to the high points of the face. Both products also work beautifully when mixed in with foundation to create a perfect overall dewy look!
Liquid Lipsticks – The Nude Edition ♥
Last but not least, the liquid lipsticks. Out of all the products, these were the ones I was surprised by the most simply because of their staying power. With every brand on the market releasing their own take on the newly coveted ‘matte liquid lipstick’, Technic have put forward a gorgeous candidate! In four stunning nude shades suitable for any skin tone and only £4 each! I wore each of these shades to work and from the time I put my lipstick on in the morning to leaving the office that evening, I did not even have to top up my lipstick once. They literally did not budge!
Shade names from top to bottom:
Chiquita Bonita – a deep toned chocolate brown
Smoking Hot – a terrocatta nude
Buxom Bae – a gorgeous rosey nude
Eye Candy – a light flesh tone nude with caramel undertones
